i really wanted to take a spin on the busa today because it got up to 62°, but it is such a hassle to rotate vehicles around so i can hook up to the trailer, pull it down the driveway so i can get a bike out, and then replay the entire process in reverse to put the bike away. i bought the trailer to haul the bikes around for various bike week excursions, and thought it would be a great place to store them when i wasnt riding...but, the trailer is actually a nuisance! thinking about getting rid of it and building a mini garage/shed at the end of the driveway.

hell hath no fury like this f-ing winter!
we got 30 inches of snow last weekend during the 2010 blizzard, phase 1. i had to dig trails for the dog so he could take a piss. now its snowing again with 10-20 inches expected...and the 50 mile per hour winds make me glad i put the busa in the trailer with the harley...unless the roof caves in. i live in dc not in colorado: this is ridiculous.

snow storm...again
i had to pick the harley up from old glory saturday: it was there for a gas tank recall and i had a back rest put on. i left the second the snow started, but by the time i was headed home with the bike, the beltway was dicey. when i got home, the driveway was so slick i had a helluva time getting the trailer back in. the busa was covered in snow.

super cafe racer
i love this custom super cafe racer from taimoshan cycle works. builder john pellow used a replica norton frame with a 1000cc aprilia rsv engine, combined with a ducati front end, wheels and brakes, honda swingarm and various custom parts.
pretty sweet.

artist steals own bike
artist jeff decker produces amazing motorcycle art. he fabricated a large scale piece for the Timpanogos Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership, and when they filed for bankruptcy last year, they listed decker's piece as a $100,000 asset. problem is, decker only loaned it to the shop: they didnt own it. so, he took it back new year's day weekend. no charges have been filed while the investigation continues.
at least he got his bike back

the angry fisherman busted!
this past week I left the bikes in the trailer, and headed down to Cape Charles, Virginia with two of my brothers and six friends for some serious rock fishing. first day out: we caught our limit quickly and headed back in at sunset...we were met at the boat ramp by the marine police who asked to review our catch: happily, we opened the coolers. sadly, we had misinterpreted the winter catch limits and all six fish fell into the 'illegal' category- between 24 and 36 inches. as captain, I was ticketed for a misdeamenor and will have to drive the six hours back for a court appearance in February. now I am angry!
