hayabusa evolution: part one

i got the busa back from its shop, and frankly: i couldnt be happier. the new stripped down version is super fast and super cool...a swing arm lengthening is coming next...i promised the wife i would sell the zodiac to fund it though: know anyone who wants to buy a boat?

march on washington

uhmmm...possible gridlock warning to everyone in the washington dc metro area: there will be a 'march' on washington this weekend involving bikers...really old bikers: tea baggers, er, tea party-ers, i mean. after dealing with this slow moving geriatric crowd of angry-ness the weekend before last during glen beck's hate rally, i am not looking forward to a crew of dazed and confused two wheelers attempting to navigate the nation's capital during the black family reunion. whatever...maybe they will realize that here in dc, everybody gets along. just in case you are interested, the speakers are top conservatives (?)ginni thomas of liberty central, best selling author larry schweikart, ned ryan of american majority, lori parker from'as a mom',and many more!

epic fail in california

as i reported yesterday, im having a little work done on my beautiful busa... as reported in today's ama blog, california aims to stop future enhancment projects: specifically anything-but stock exhaust systems! what? riders from cali should make their opinion known...asap!

hayabusa evolution

the new busa is at its shop getting some adjustments...new exhaust system...frame sliders...rear end dropped 2"...front end lowered 3/4 of an inch...i think an air shifter is next.

isle of man tt

the qualifying is over and the superbike racing has begun on the isle of man. suzuki has two of the five top spots: nice.

did you catch the isle of man tt motorcycle practice laps today? very wild stuff! the isle of man races have been running since 1907 and are held right now through september 5th this year. you can watch the races and practice laps live here.

the official winner of the official world championship of custom bike building is flying. spanish bike builder sergio bayarri of sbay motor company designed this with cad and built it in his new shop... no paint...no chrome...nice.

i have been wanting to ride the tail of the dragon since i heard about...and for my birthday, i did it! the entire trip down to deal's gap was windier than i anticipated, but the dragon was crazy curvy!

sturgis doesnt start til monday, but you can get a leg up on the crowd by heading for the party on the prairie at the wild mustang ranch. this field party started yesterday and includes 10 days of cheap camping and about a zillion tribute bands: doing it old school!

well...little sturgis, that is: in kentucky! the 18th annual little sturgis bike rally and races starts today and runs through sunday: no burnouts allowed...also no nudity...no firearms...and no attitudes. sounds fun.
