cool amphibious manufactures international makes crazy stuff! in addition to water-friendly cars, trucks and tour buses, they have designed and manufactured this amphibious biodiesel motorcycle, the biotrike. this thing has it all: it's aerodynamic; a plug in hybrid electric-biodiesel; is handicap-capable, has a safety roll cage, and costs about $24,000. not totally sure why you would want to go in the water with this trike: maybe just for the novelty of it all or maybe you live in an area with heavy downpours!

my last three posts have been on alternative fuel motorcycles (also just read about a solar powered plane and race car on inhabitit), so i thought this hilarious video from the casual mafia, (about a hybrid prius car, though) was (still) appropriate.

i didnt know there were so many electric bikes out there: i probably should get out more often. there is a kick gas festival held annually in san diego: here is a clip from last year. go here to learn more about electric motorcycles. interesting.

hybrid trike hits the streets

for about $9k you can get 141 mpg! piaggio's mp3 hybrid scooter can be plugged in or runs off of its gas powered generator. the 400 model goes 88mph! kind of weird looking!
